Crabtree Falls
On Sunday, we went on a hike at Crabtree Falls.
It was amazing!! This is something I wrote in the car on the way home, through the hills, listening to bluegrass music in the rain:
The Waterfall
The breeze from the waterfall blows my hair across my face. I pause my descent of the stairs to close my eyes and take a deep breath of the fresh, cool air. The roaring of the water overwhelms me as I caress the camera around my neck.

Valentine's Day 💗
Ok, so for our family, Valentine's Day is next to Christmas on a list of holiday importance. Mom makes a cute breakfast and sets the table nice and when we get up Mom and Dad give us little bags or baskets of little goodies. Little things like stickers, pencils, chocolate, notebooks, and sometimes a cute shirt. :)

ReplyDeleteGrowing up, I did very similar things with my family. We had gifts like chocolates and candies and sometimes we even made heart-shaped pizzas together. Now, with Jack, every year is different. We take turn surprising each other, picnics are my favorite.
ReplyDeleteNana and I had planned to get burgers and go to a drive in movie to celebrate Valentine's Day, but I still have a bad cough from my cold. So we brought the burgers home and watched a movie in TV instead (Zootopia)! We had green bean fries from The Habit. Yummmm! I love spending Valentine's Day with my best frient! -Papa
